Mortgage Investments are often for individual or corporate investors demanding stable and secure growth in their portfolio. The investment in a "Mortgage Investment Corporation" (commonly referred to as "MIC") is in a pool of mortgages. MICs are companies organized for investing in pools of mortgages. Profits generated by MICs are distributed to its shareholders according to their proportional interest.
